Like an exploration of the uncontaminated hills of that famous Caribbean island preserved by natives Maroon's, The One Droppers are looking to clean the old dust from the Studio One records and make their sounds live again, in another country... in another age.
The warm sound of the valves, the scent of the vinyl that turns, the needle that moves the powder from the deep furrows in order to transmit the rhythm to the enormous black cases of sound systems:
the thought at the base of this band is to reproduce those sounds and to recreate that atmosphere, spacing from the first one ska to the birth of the rocksteady.
Eight elements with many years of experience, execute the one drop with royal majesty.
The broken calypso lines, the vibrating basses, a snapping levare, an exceptional hammond, a warm soul voice and a worthy brass section bring out the best years of the Alpha Boy school, in order to generate cool vibes and to shorten the distance to Kingston Town.
