About Me

This page is dedicated to St. Therese of Lisieux in thanks for answered prayers. Therese is a truly extraordinary saint, and through her anyone can become closer to God.Pray to St. Therese and witness her shower of roses. Pray to her and hear the music of her soul.St. Therese of Lisieux was born Therese Martin on January 2, 1873, in Alcon, Normandy, the ninth child of a middle-class, devout French family. She was a delicate child and endured much suffering, but her love for God and her steadfast desire to serve Him was nothing short of miraculous. Therese entered the Carmelite convent at the tender age of 15. She took the name St. Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face, and immediately embarked upon a deep spiritual quest that would come to be known as "The Little Way." In April 1896 Therese showed the first symptoms of tuberculosis; by wintertime of that year it was evident that she was fatally ill. While battling the disease that would ultimately ravage her, Therese wrote her autobiography, entitled "The Story of a Soul." Hailed as one of the greatest spiritual works of our time, "The Story of a Soul" has sold millions and millions of copies all over world.Therese died on September 30, 1897, at the age of 24. She was canonized on May 17, 1925 by Pope Pius XI and delcared a Doctor of the Church in 1997 by Pope John Paul II.Among the most popular Roman Catholic saints, countless miracles have been attributed to Therese's divine intercession. Her cult is universal. Her power is extraordinary.Thank you, St. Therese, for your miraculous intercession!!
