About Me
I am a 47 year old opera singer, and I have a voice the size of Italy.I make a fairly big sound. My choice of operas to perform would include Don Carlos (Verdi), and The Elixir of Love (Donizetti),to name just a few. I hail from Liverpool where I studied singing with Jean Gordon Brown,at Sandown College of Performing Arts, successfully completing the Graduate Diploma Course. From there I went on to win a place at the Royal College of Music London, where I studied singing with Professor Edward Brooks. After a successful PG course, and winning the Exhibitioner Scholarship,I won a place in the RCM opera school;also winning the Opera Scholarship. Performances included Papageno (Magic Flute), Eugene Onegin (Eugene Onegin),Pandolfe (Cendrillon),and World Premier performances including works by Paul Max Edlin and Odalin di la Martinez.Masterclasses included Sir Thomas Allen, Senja Jurinac and Graham Clark. Professionally I have worked with ENO,Wexford Festival Opera,London Internation Opera Festival,Covent Garden,English Bach Festival,LSO,and many more. Recently I was invited to attend and sing in masterclasses with Maestro Jose Cura, and Ms Rosa Manion, working on Don Carlos and Don Giovanni, respectively. Future performances include Dr.Dulcamara (The Elixir of Love) .Oratorio includes Handel's Messiah with Oldham Choral Society and Faure Requiem with the Hoylake Choral Society. My first Verdi Requiem will be with the Cleveland Philharmonic Choir in March 2007, and really looking forward to that performance. Also have recorded a CD with pianist Timothy Mottershead, and hope to tour in recital with him for 2008 at the Buxton Festival,Glossop, and Liverpool. I have recently studied voice with the amazing International Tenor Professor Jeffrey Lawton, whom I thank very much, and his wife Anne, for their help and support.
