OUR HISTORY….
In 2006, we decided to create a new kind of marketing company that focused on marketing to the urban community. It needed to be a company that didn’t start with the traditional brochures or print promotions, websites or media spots. Instead it started with “relative thinkingâ€-- the idea that we need to really connect with the target in a relevant comfort zone, and use whatever means necessary (and maybe invent some means that don’t exist yet) to truly make them act in response to us and feel a part of our brand. Thinking that creates a sense of community and a truly memorable brand experience.
In a little more than a year, The Urban Zone has been fortunate to work with a variety of diverse clients and houses the groundbreaking Univision Party 93.3 satellite radio station. Our culturally relevant events have made us common ground for the “freshest†segments of the urban market. The Urban Zone received congressional recognition for “Take the Walk†an electrifying event fusing underground hip hop artists and HIV Testing in 2007. The success of our stand out promotions and events has fueled unprecedented business growth. But most importantly it has allowed us to keep doing what we love — think up promotions and events that engage and entertain as well as motivate action.

PROMOTIONS: 100. /HR
Much of what we do falls into this category. Our definition starts and ends with inspiring action whether it’s selling or selling through, building brand recognition or foot traffic. And this we do, with all of the tricks of the trade (contests, drawings, coupons, samples, etc.) And a few additional tricks (to learn these, you’ll have to meet with us).
GUERILLA MARKETING: 75. /HR
For the Urban Zone, guerilla is getting back to the basics. It is the intersection of big ideas and small budgets, state of the art delivery systems and old-school samplings, one to one and mass marketing, ending with real people buying real products and services. It is art, science and a mega dose of creativity, all coming together to build a brand experience that inspires measurable results.

PERSONAL MEMBERSHIP:
Members are eligible to take part in all UZ activities, place promotional flyers advertising “YOU†on the UZ round table, and receive 20% discount on studio services.

Annual Fee - 50.
BUSINESS MEMBERSHIP:
Members are eligible to place promotional flyers advertising their business or events on the UZ round table as well as specified wall space. Business members may also set up promotional booths during UZ events for a $50 dollar fee. Membership also includes 20% discount on studio services as well as “Your Promotion / Our Space†use.
Plus unlimited free Wi-Fi access for our traffic to connect via your web based display!
Annual Fee - 150.
