Their passion for music is deep but their love for writing is deeper and their talent priceless. Wil & Jason Cormier bonded by blood grew up in Houston, Texas. Wil started writing his own rhymes at the age of twelve. He would recite and write all of the lyrics to “Ice Cube†album using this as a tool to develop his own style. He began teaching his six year old brother how to write music as an emcee. With a sony tape player and a plastic microphone, he and his brother recorded and developed their talent. Now 18 years later, with a lot of hard work and perseverance, the group was formed and they are known as AFFILIATED SOLDIERZ.Working strictly underground the group started their movement by street marketing mix tapes and promotional items throughout the city. Performing at local venues and promoting their new single through radio and online network, Affiliated Soldierz is known as Houston‘s Best Kept Secret. Being recognized by one of the well known DJ’s in the south, they recorded a hip-hop national mix tape with Mr. Southern Smoke aka DJ Smallz in 2006. This mix tape is comprised of all original tracks from the two brothers. Some of their other projects includes, multiple underground mix tapes working with artists such as the late DJ Screw, DJ Kodine and their first independent album debut with Dark Sunz Productions. Another major DJ, the group worked with is DJ Vlad, out of California and the album is called “All Eyes on Usâ€With Houston putting itself on the rap map in a major way, Affiliated Soldierz are here to prove themselves in this booming local hip-hop climate that they have what it takes to succeed in this business. Bonded by bloodline, Wil and 2cylee represent Houston, Texas to the fullest and are stepping up to the plate to show they belong in the spotlight.
