We are based in Brixton, south London and have been working with both local and international artists and producers since 1990.
Sidewalk Musik is the production work of Lloyd Fuller aka Vamps. Born in Battersea in South London where he was playing drums at church and school functions from an early age. This was continued when he moved to Jamaica with is Parents at age twelve, by thirteen year of age he was playing alongside top gospel artist in concerts throughout the Island. In Jamaica he lived in Portmore and attended St Catherine High where he played guitar for the school choir which won several medal in the national festival competition. Vamps moved forward to live in London in the late 80s and as worked mainly at Sparkside Studio in Brixton as Sound Engineer and producer. One day back in 1989 while leaving a failed job interview for a computer engineer job on Oxford street in London he ran into Derrick Taylor (now producer) his long time friend the bass guitarist he had played drums alongside in Jamaica and lived a few street away from in Independence City. After telling Derrick about the bias he thought he had just endured Derrick told him he was going on tour with Roachford and if he wonted to be one of the road crew, the rest is history. Starting out doing guitar technician for Roachford then FOH engineer for Linton Kwesi Jonson and the Dennis Bovell Dub Band Vamps as toured the globe extensively from Europe, Africa, Japan, America, the Caribbean to Australia and worked at studios across London, in Jamaica and Europe as sound engineer and producer.
