About Me

Up-and coming classical crossover artist Sarena Paton is known for her refreshing distinctive sound. Whether it is her angelic soprano voice or her diverse classical, pop, jazz, latin, or celtic influences, her warm and evocative performances are charming audiences. As a songwriter, in both English and Spanish, she prides herself on delivering the nuances of classic and original material. However, you might just as easily mistake this humble and gracious ‘diva’ for the girl-next-door.
Sarena first found her voice and her place on stage at the age three. Her childhood was spent in and out of auditions, television studios and voice booths. Among her acting credits are notable Canadian classics, Mr. Dress-Up, Ready or Not, Katts & Dog and the feature film Fly Away Home. Sarena also lent her singing and speaking voice to dozens of radio and television jingles and animation series.
Some of Sarena’s highlights are performing at the prestigious Senate Ceremony of Remembrance on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, performing the role of Christine Daae in the Canadian Phantom Unmasked tour with Peter Karrie, and singing with a backup ensemble for artists such as Susan Aglukark, Paul Anka, Sarah Brightman, the CCMAs, Reba McEntire, Frank Mills, The Nylons, Roch Voisine and Michelle Wright. Sarena has also toured France, Switzerland & Germany with a 20-piece big band, performing at the Montreux Jazz Festival, ZMF Festival and the Juno Beach Memorial. Recently, she has performed at the 2007 World Synchronized Skating Championships, the 2007 Canadian International Military Tattoo and as a guest with tenor John McDermott on his 2007 Christmas tour.
Sarena's album "Remember" honours the veterans of the past and present serving our country around the world, especially in Afghanistan. It is on sale at CHAPTERS INDIGO Music Locations across Canada.
Sarena is currently working on a number of exciting new projects. Check her website for further updates.
