About Me

Look for new projects form kevin!! Emmy Rossum, Dala, The Horsefies, Andrea Bocelli and After Four!!In the mid 70s while in high school, Kevin took an interest in Jazz and Classical genres and joined the local high school band, developing his skills as a guitarist, pianist, and composer. After graduating, Doyle hooked up with punk rock band “The Demics.” With their big hit “New York City”, Kevin soon began to make a name for himself and subsequently acquired a position as a producer/engineer at Sounds Interchange Studios in Toronto where he was in a position to investigate diverse styles of music production, mixing and composition from many of the worlds most successful producers and artists. The knowledge and experience he gained from his mentors allowed him to experiment with creative recording and production techniques. In the fall of 1979, local legendary pianist Glenn Gould secured Sounds Interchange for editing and mixing purposes and Kevin was assigned to work with him. It was at that time that Gould noticed Kevin’s finely tuned ability to read music. As a result, he engaged Doyle as his full-time engineer/co-producer and provided him the opportunity to work on several recordings including the famous re-recording of Bach’s Goldberg Variations, which went on to win numerous Grammy Awards. Kevin was privileged to be nominated for a Grammy Award and since then has worked on many Grammy award winning albums. Many of today’s top classical producers and artists confirm that “Gould-Doyle” revolutionized studio recording and mixing techniques in allowing the listener to appreciate emotion through hearing dimension in music. In the latter part of the decade Kevin was requested to record/mix Alannah Myles' debut recording featuring the 1 hit “Black Velvet”, which earned Doyle his first of many Juno Awards as Canada’s Best music mixer. The decade following, he was nominated/winner for another 13 Juno’s for his work with various world renowned artists. Because of great demand for his services as an engineer/producer, Doyle extensively worked throughout the world including Africa, Italy, Germany, Russia, England, New York and Los Angeles. Kevin worked with numerous acts including Van Morrison, Sinead O’Connor, Kiss, Anne Murray, Hall and Oates, and Yo Yo Ma. By 2000, an interest in global music took Kevin to Russia, Europe, and Africa. He spent months volunteering in the construction of a recording studio in the Congo where he taught local musicians how to record and mix music, thus contributing to the rebirth in the African music industry. While in Africa, he received the call that brought him home to record Anne Murray’s next CD, and to assist Jack Lenz of Toronto on the films “The Passion of the Chris” and “Lazarus Child.” During the recording of "Lazarus Child" Kevin had the fortunate opportunity to work with “Andrea Bocelli” and the Berlin Philharmonic. Recently Kevin has set up his own state of the art recording complex where he is recently working on many new international and domestic acts.New Albums by mixed/produced by KDM coming soon!!
