HOW DID THIS ALL BEGIN?
I’ve been asked that quite a bit lately, so I thought it’d be useful for you to know how GOD brought this together.
Throughout 2005, God laid the condition of our youth on my heart. I asked God, what can I do? How can I impact the youth and even their families? As always, God made it crystal clear; impact them with what you already know, and that’s roller skating and hip hop. I’ve been an avid roller skater and listener of hip hop music for many years. After becoming a Christian, I saw how the lyrics of secular hip hop music was weakening my faith, so I began to look for Christian hip hop music and found an abundance of options...
During that same time God began to deal with me about presenting Christian entertainment options at little or no cost to His people and from that journey Servant Enterprises was created. In January 2006, Servant Enterprises held its first Holy Hip Hop Gospel Skate Jam
and it was a huge success!
Now, a two years later, our organization continues to offer positive, fun, family-focused Christian entertainment for birthday parties, weddings, block parties and other entertainment events, including our monthly "HOLY HIP HOP GOSPEL Skate Jam.
We host The HOLY HIP HOP Gospel Show which celebrated its one year anniversary December 2007 on WYCA 102.3 FM. We air every Thursday evening, 8:00 – 9:00 p.m. CST and now God has blessed us to add our newest radio program - Christian Sports Radio - LIVE which aired its first show in December 2007!
We felt that sports is yet another HUGE entertainment medium that influences so many. NFL player Steve Edwards started out hosting the program, however, he's out east playing arena football for the rest of the season. That's when George Madden, all around sports fan and "guru" joined our team and he's been the show's host ever since.
NONE of this could have happened without GOD – HE has opened so many doors and we are SO grateful! We can’t wait to see what he does in 2008. We know it will truly be another year of amazing miracles and victories!
