Don't you generalize me!
Well... I was born in Paris from an argentinian-austrian-russian-french mother working in the Art business, and an italian-lithuanian-american father who was a conceptual sculptor. From that point, it only gets more & more complicated! ;-)
Darkness and light divide the course of time, and oblivion shares with memory, a great part even of our living beings; we slightly remember our felicities, and the smartest stroaks of affliction leave but short smart upon us. Sense endureth no extremeties, and sorrows destroy us or themselves. To weep into stones are fables. Afflictions induce callosities, miseries are slippery, or fall like snow upon us, which notwithstanding is no stupidity. To be ignorant of evils to come, and forgetful of evils past, is merciful provision in nature, whereby we digest the mixture of our few and evil days, and our delivered senses not relapsing into cutting remembrances, our sorrows are not kept raw by the edge of repetitions.
WOODY ALLEN:
"You can live up to be a hundred years old if you give up all the things that make you want to live to a hundred."

"la mission supreme de l'art consiste à libérer nos regards des terreurs obsédantes de la nuit, à nous guérir des douleurs convulsivent que nous causent nos actes volontaires"
JIM MORRISON:
"I think in art, people are trying to confirm their own existence"
"Some of the worst mistakes of my life have been haircuts"
"Where's your will to be weird?"
"I like any reaction I can get with my music. Just anything to get people to think. I mean if you can get a whole room full of drunk, stoned people to actually wake up and think, you're doing something"
"I believe in a long, prolonged derangement of the senses to attain the unknown. Our pale reasoning hides the infinite from us."
