I was born and raised in the East part of Berlin where I learned to play violin and studied other arts f.e. songwriting. Later my brother and I found a Rockband and performed in youth-clubs and street-parties.
For my 18th birthday I received the CD "LKJ in Dub" as a present. I immediately fell in love with that music style and looked for musicians to play something similar with.
After some engagements as backing vocalist with local Reggae groups, I met Ras Perez and joined "The Reggae Ambassadubs" on Rhythm-Guitar and Vocals.
I shared the stage with following artists: Paul St. Hilaire (also known as Tikiman), Ras Donovan, Jeff Fontaine aka Ras Kok, Oghene Kologbo, Akwasi Kyereme and others... and of course Ras Perez.

Wer ist Jahnin?
Ich bin in Ostberlin geboren und aufgewachsen. Habe Violine und ein paar andere Künste gelernt wie z.B. das Songschreiben und später eine Rockband mit meinem Bruder gegründet, mit der wir diverse Auftritte auf Straßenfesten und in Jugendclubs hatten.
Zu meinem 18. Geburtstag habe ich die CD "LKJ in Dub" bekommen und wollte schon bald darauf diese Art von Musik machen. Nachdem ich bei verschiedenen Künstlern gesungen habe, traf ich Ras Perez und bin seitdem bei den Reggae Ambassadubs an der Rhythmus-Gitarre und als begleitender Gesang dabei.
Ich stand bereits mit folgenden Musikern auf der Bühne: Paul St. Hilaire (auch unter dem Namen Tikiman bekannt), Ras Donovan, Jeff Fontaine aka Ras Kok, Oghene Kologbo, Akwasi Kyereme und andere.... und natürlich Ras Perez.
