Livin' on the air...

About Me

Uncle Dick taught me about radio. Zippy taught me to love it. I'm the Program director at a pretty kickass radio station - for a "Hot A/C" format! I like to think we make a difference. At least I try. The coolest part of my job is listening to music. Yes, I get to play music, but listening to it - especially the stuff that never makes it to the radio - is truly an honour. I am the host of the afternoon "Drive at Five" and the "Top 20 Countdown". Your mom probably listens to me and may even think I sound pretty hot. I'm married to a very beautiful woman and have two awesome kids that keep me entertained by mainly falling down lots. They teach me what life is all about. Without them, I am truly nothing. I'm a huge fan of music, and everything to do with music. A Beatles junkie at heart, but I listen to it all. I have a theory that they invented everything except that which came before them. I have a lot of crazy theories.

My Interests

Music is my first love. I get paid for entertaining your mom. On the weekends I enjoy counting backward from 20. I'm interested in steak. I think hockey is Canada's greatest gift to the world. I'm fasinated by it's history, it's lore, and it's lessons. I think of myself as a history buff, I live for a good debate on politics, and can't seem to watch enough documentaries. I think traveling teaches you how we all ought to co-exist on this rock. So far, I've been to 8/10 Provinces and 1/3 Territories in Canada, 20/25 States in America, 10 European countries, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Cuba. I still have a lot to learn.....

Music:

I am a Program Director and long time music fan. I was raised on Kenny Rogers, Rod Stewart, Wings, all things Motown, Boston, and The Beach Boys. My parents to taught me to love music for what it is. I studied Music theory and history while in the BFA Music Theater program at the U of W. Oh, and I used to spin in an underground scratch club. Wicky wicky...

Movies:

The Star Wars Trilogy and Anchorman. Yep, that's it. OK... and Knotting Hill...

Television:

I'll watch "Behind The Music" on ANYONE. I love watching Hockey with my kids and imparting what LITTLE wisdom of the game I have on them. And I'm not ashamed to admit that I'll watch all their cartoons with them.....

Books:

I ain't one for no fancy book learnin'... but I do enjoy Biographies, classic literature, science fiction, and old Calvin and Hobbes collections.....

Heroes:

I try to live my life in a way that would make my Grampa proud. I think Bill Kurtis is the coolest guy on TV. I only wish I had as great a voice as the guy who does all of the movie trailers. And I like Dewey Finn.....
