Bold, and BeautifulSelf taught designer, Rickie Gonzales, has always had a passion for high- end fashion. Growing up in Texas he moved to phoenix to further pursue his career in the fashion industry. Believing in the potential phoenix has to offer, he set out to mainstream the Vmarie collection. Following the death of his sister in June 2004 Rickie’s dream of designing fashion suitable for any woman catapulted into reality. With a successful exhibit at Bentley’s Phoenix fashion Week, 2006 Rickie’s creations dazzled the eyes of viewers.The inspiration behind his designs reflect the connection his sister had with the meaning of the butterfly; transformation, beauty, elegance and rebirth.
