PAUSED IN TIME.. THE ALBUM&DOCUMENTARY
With a culture that is in dying need of change, PAUSED IN TIME, brings forth a fresh voice to Hip-Hop. With the street conscious album to the up close and personal documentary of Baltimore Hip-Hop, PAUSED IN TIME is an groundbreaking collaboration for Hip-Hop. The album features up and coming artists Profitne$$, The Dean, Rabiah, Saul Reel, 810 and J.Lynn. With explosive production from producers on the same grind, Sparkplugz Musik.
From the introduction, "A Brand New Sound" (produced by Saul Reel), to a portrait of an era before destruction "Before Crack" (produced by Jordan Ocean&K-trax), The LP stands on its own with the diversity of its concepts. You would think PAUSED IN TIME was made to be spun on a record player, as it is no possible way to skip over any track. The album is a breath of freshly needed air for true hip-hop lovers. The PAUSED IN TIME documentary is a glimpse into the most unknown talent in the mid-Atlantic.
Touching bases on Baltimore's Hip-Hop scene in clubs, to street corners, to clothing stores it is very enlightening to those who want something refreshing. With interviews ranging from Bossman and Comp speaking on their ups and downs in the music business, to the "Best female emcee" voted by City Paper Jade Fox, to future legends, Beat Box, EBN, and TMG, to a shining star in the DMV's (DC, Maryland&Virginia) spoken word movement Kom. (This is just the tip of the iceberg).
We also follow PAUSED IN TIME'S featured emcee J.Lynn, as he grinds his way to the top of the Hip-Hop ladder. Within each webisode you find something unique and interesting about the city that's only been recognized for its murder rate and ecstatic club music. The Documentary is in an on-line series which is currently being broad casted through Youtube (YOUTUBE.COM/PAUSEDINTIME).
There are ten "webisodes" to get a taste and feel of the actual full-length feature film. After all, who doesn't like to sample the product before they purchase it?? The album is on sale through Myspace, Itunes, Cdbaby and more. After this movement, Hip-Hop will never be the same. And neither will Baltimore City!
