She used to listen to all kinds of music as a kid, from RnB to Grunge… Rap to Dance… Jazz to Pop… Arabic to Latin all thanks to the tape recorder and cassette tapes! She just plain loved music. The love that she had for music grew to become an obsession but it wasn’t until High School that she started performing. That was when she met the microphone, and that was it! A match made in heaven! In High school she also met somebody by the name of Charlie D who shared her obsession. Together they formed the crew Ghetto Militia. Since then, Empress has also begun to produce solo efforts with an E.P dropping Early 09 titled “THE MIC’S WIFE”. She has hosted the Main Stage at Bring it On Festival (Fairfield Showgrounds), MC’d at The Bloc (Penrith), performed at Liquidfest (Canberra), Craze Nightblub aka The Sultans (Canberra) and does regular performances for Lowdown @ The Central (Blacktown). Now with the support of the UPR Family, 2009 should prove a fruitful year for The Empress MC.All this leaves us asking just one question... "Is Australia... no wait, Is Hip Hop ready for the EMPRESS MC?"
