Dropping The Messiah

Knowledge for its Own Sake (1994 - 1997)

About Me

This is a page for the now disbanded - Dropping the Messiah (DTM). DTM was a Death Metal band from Saginaw / Birch Run, MI that consisted of:
Alicia Warrington - 15 year old female vocalist / growler who handled the drumming duties as well
Scott Arsenault - 17 year old guitar god
Jim Wagner - 19 year old bassist / screamer
Jim, Scott and Alicia had been playing separately in various local bands until they met and formed Dropping the Messiah in 1994. In just a short period of time, they gathered a large underground following with their brutal live shows and the independent release of their 1995 demo, Knowledge for its Own Sake .
With the band receiving impressive reviews in notable, international, underground zines such as SOD (Sounds of Death), they quickly sold out of Knowledge for its Own Sake , were being included on many cd compilations around the world and were packing in the crowds along with other local acts: Absence , Miscreants , KGP , and death metal heavyweights, Amputist .
Dropping the Messiah disbanded sometime in 1997.
