About Me

It's been a long time coming, but at last the UK has a new reggae star, fit to lead the world into the new millennium.
Glama Wayne, Midland based, has already proved his capabilities on the Reggae circuit with a barn-storming debut at The Birmingham NIA Reggae Legends show in 1999 (also featuring Third World, Pato Banton, Chaka Demus & Pliers). On the night the plaudits pounced and a debut album was being cried out for.
Since then Glama has focused on his song writing, musical arrangements and production of his own material. Glama has now finished his debut album entitled WAY OF LIFE mixed by Paul Horton, twice Grammy nominated for Best Reggae Album.
The response to the album has been positive, with one singles confirmed by SONY (India) for there best of British, a introduction compilation to be released in India, two tracks confirmed by Brazil's leading reggae magazine (Circuito Reggae) compilation to be released thus opening the doors in South America and a further single confirmed to be released in Japan and China with Dub me Tender (French based company) and interest coming from USA, with radio support getting stronger day by day.
WAY OF LIFE, the title track on the album, was received ecstatically in the industry with the G-Man, NEW STYLE Radio playing the track within 10 minutes of it hitting their post box adding T2 GHETTO LIFE to the RIDIM IN THE MORNING slot on the Morning Oasis Breakfast Show, and Choice FM's Natty B show featuring the album.
WAY OF LIFE has also been chosen to be part of the ANTI-GUN PROJECT album called STOP-DA GUN-TING put together by Pato Banton for the tragic New Years Day killings in Birmingham. The album brought together some of Birmingham's best new talented together to write, produce positive songs about the everyday life in Birmingham.
GLAMA WAYNE brings to the table of music an appreciation and respect for artists past and present from the world of music, with an ear for Blue Beat, Ska, Jazz, Soul, RnB, Gospel, Classic, Rock Steady, Reggae and hip hop, wonderfully executed on this album. Glama Wayne has put together an album that stretches your imagination musically with thought provoking lyrically without complicating the music.
