This Modern day Dancehall act is best known for his appearance in T4’s popular Sunday morning show Musicool. The Show which brought 10 acts from different musical genres together for 11 weeks to put on a one of musical was broadcasted live on T4. As one of the most popular artist on the show, Mr Midas commercial fan base exploded over the coming weeks. His diverse musical craft has also established this born entertainer a strong name on the underground circuit. Hailing from South London Mr Midas has grown up within a musical family, and in his own words, music was the one thing that made sense to him.Starting up learning his craft as a Producer Mr Midas studied Sound Engineering for 3years and is a qualified Sound Engineer. His first taste of music success was when he put out an underground EP called ‘Mirror Reflection, the other side of Midas.’ This EP was the first time he stepped from behind the scenes and put pen to paper. The EP was a big hit on local radio and a track called Trigger Finger was play listed to private Radio station Lighting FM.Following the success of his EP Mr Midas organized music nights which enabled him to try out his newly discovered vocal talent with other artist. After a few nights this became so popular that he could no longer hold them at home. With so many promising artists around him, Mr Midas set up an independent Label called GOLDTOUCH Records whereby he was able to channel these acts in the right direction and release there products.While trying to establish his name around the circuit Mr Midas has worked with many of UKs most talented acts including: JD aka Dready, SunCycle, Dexplicit, Richie Rich, Gemma Fox, Sticky, Sovereign, Tims & Ripa, Corey Johnson, Fire Camp, Blemish, Cerose, Cire, Sovereign, Stush, Don P, Baby Blue, Skat D, Davinche, & Frite Night Crew,Mr Midas first official release was ‘GOLDTOUCH The Compilation Album’ featuring Madness UK, J Imperial, Redzy and Eman acts that he was developing as part of his label. With support of Lighting FM & Bashment Vibes Mr Midas sold 2,000 copies independently in local stores such Reds, Dark n Cold & Deal Real.Promotional ventures don’t only include UK but global ventures too. In Atlanta Georgia, Mr Midas completely sold out his Mixtape ‘The X Files.’ He also recorded with local producers, did guest appearances on local radio stations and performed at Stanley’s night club. Raising his international fan base Mr Midas has been booked as the headline act for the Chokland Fabriken ‘Move the Crowd’ launch night in Sweden, as well as over local clubs in Sweden.UK appearances include venues such as Brixton Academy, Oceans, Stratford Rex, Stratford Theatre, Live@ Suga Suga, Carnival, headlining the FYA Festival at Trafalgar Square, Leeds & Bradford Carnivals, Illusions, and supported the Legendary De La Soul and opening act for G-unit front man Lloyd Banks.Mr Midas is currently promoting his debut solo album, ‘It Only Takes 1Moment’ which is a energetic, vibrant journey where Mr Midas brings his fusion sound across dancehall, hip hop, grime, pop & rock. The debut single taken from this project, ‘Wile Out’ featuring Blemish, has been heavily promoted across Radio 1xtra, Choice FM and pirate radio stations. Wile Out has been available for digital download on iTunes, CD Baby, Napstar & more. This track is on regular rotation on Channel U, and has been featured on T4.Mr Midas has also been Nominated as the Best Newcomer at this years Kickers Urban Music Awards, the awards be held this November. Mr Midas is currently been endorsed by clothing giant Puma & fitted hats specialist Newera.Mr Midas has been exploring his musical versatility which has led him into putting together a live band and doing reversions of all his tracks. He’s also becoming a regular on the Rock and Indie scene and has made a guest appearance with Eyelash and Trash Fashion…..Through out his journey this young vibrant performer has overcome all challenges he has uncounted.
