FA$E BIOGRAPHY
FA$E was born Chamar Goodwin, in Atlantic City, N.J. and grew up in East New York “Brooklynâ€. He was introduced to the music industry at a young age, following his father’s performances and travels as he performed under the artist known as “D Ski†From Brooklyn NY. At the age of 13, known at the time as “The Preacher†along with Bishop and Prophet they formed a gospel rap group called “The FCC Rappers†and they put a major dent in the not so popular gospel rap at that time. They land on television and had some fame with their fans favorite song “Let Everything that has Breath, Praise the Lord†and got to perform this song in front of thousands of supporting fans. A few years later the group started to split and gospel rap was no longer a dream for the young preacher.
At the age of 19, the Preacher decided to leave home so he joined the United States Navy. In 2003 now known as FA$E, he hook up with an up and coming beat maker/producer by the name of Willie “B Knot†Bossie who reinitiated his passion to get back into the spot light of the industry. While stationed onboard the USS Detroit, FA$E found himself part of another group which consist of 7 MC’s known at the time as “Lost Talentâ€. One album was released onboard the USS Detroit titled “Da Hotnessâ€, which sold 250 copies onboard the USS Detroit which carried a crew of about 600 men and women. To this day it is consider a classic underground release to those that purchased it or heard it.
Recording had to be put on hold as FA$E had to serve his country by doing a Tour of Duty in Iraq. While in Iraq, he realize life is to short when you talking to one person one day and the next day they are gone. FA$E could only think about was returning home to his wife and kids and seeing his parents again. Do to the lost of his Grandmother, who was a major inspiration in his life by teaching him that “He has No Limits in Life, Only those that he set for himselfâ€, FA$E was set back a few weeks early to bury her. Remembering his lessons his Grandmother taught him fueled his passion to make it in the industry.
Once again FA$E hook up with his past producer Willie “B Knot†Bossie of Boss Recordings to work on his first solo album release titled “Tormoil†head on. Now FA$E is making his mark in the industry with solid production, a distinct voice with powerful words and top notch writing skills along with a mellow swag that appeals to all fans old and young and the looks to fit the image. FA$E is ready to shine as the next Hip-Hop star, are you ready to hear someone new. Let’s Go!!!!
