Danny Thompson Deluxe!

Alright already! I'm finally going to break down and start a "music" page. This basically will be for information about upcoming gigs for ANY band I'm in as well as including songs from bands I've BEEN in, AM in, or MAY BE IN in the future.

There will be a couple of steady songs up here - these are songs I wrote while in a band called Hot Rod Nebula that morphed into another band I formed called The Magnatones. I got Hot Rod Nebula together about a year after I left Sloppy Seconds and we were together in one form or another until I left for Germany to play with KGB.

These songs were written by me and recorded at Echo Park by Paul Mahern in 1996. Unfortunately they've never been "officially" released - after returning from Germany my band had disolved and Bigger Than ELVIS was born - but maybe someday soon that'll change. Other than my contributions to Sloppy Seconds (generally the musical portion), most people don't recognize me as a songwriter and for the most part neither do I. But...there are times when I put guitar in hand and pen to paper and come up with lines like "a Bible in your hand and a cross around your neck...your after life is covered but your current life's a wreck."
