Ladies and Gentlemen, This is The Big Muff Project

About Me

..
The Band was founded in late 2000 by Max Marchini who was just returned playing bass after years of composing. After several personel changes the band set up with old mate guitar wizard Beppe Lombardo, just got back to Piacenza. Max and Beppe played together in 1979 in a college band for some venues. After some rehearsals with Paolo Manzi they teamed with drummer and multistrumentist Fabiano Spiga. Big Muff was then born. Shorty after lead vocalist Gregory Chiesa joined in. After some recording and composing over 10 songs together, the drumer and then lyricist Fabiano Spiga left and shortly after also did Gregory who left progressive music for a local Heavy Metal Band. Several drummers were auditioned but vary hard was the finding when percussionist and drummer Patrizio Rizzi joined in adding a ethnic feel to new arrangements. Big Muff changes into Big Muff Project when open to external collaborations. In July the "It was 40 years ago" compilation of Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band was first issued in a limited edition of 2000 copies. Big Muff Project played and arranged a medley of "A Day In The Life", "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" and "Within You, Without You". For this project collaborated the sensual voice of Priska and the indian voice and moods by Deodar. Big Muff Project have starting to record the first album at Elfo Studios with international collaborators and musicians.

Sounds Like: 70s oriented progressive rock with rock/blues intentions, acoustic tunes with odd time signatures. Our songs are bass driven with flaming guitar riffs. We're at the moment an instrumental only trio. All the vocals were sung by Gregory Chiesa, our former vocalist who left for more commercially oriented rock. We're planing to ask to our friends all over the world to sing the vocal parts of our forthcoming album.
