Antonio Bacciocchi, in "arte" Tony Face: batterista , giornalista (www.radiocoop.it) ma anche ex produttore discografico (ora NON PIU' ATTIVO IN QUESTO AMBITO) , scrittore , blogger (www.tonyface.blogspot.com), organizzatore di concerti e festivals , DJ radiofonico , prime mover del movimento mod in Italia.
Come musicista ha suonato dal 79 all’83 con l’hardcore punk band dei Chelsea Hotel e dal 1981 al 1988 con i Not Moving , tra le bands più rappresentative della scena indie rock degli 80’s , con cui ha inciso due album e diversi singoli ed EP oltre a suonare in centinaia di concerti (tra i quali i supporting di Clash , Johnny Thunders , Celibate Rifles , Iggy Pop & the Stooges e festivals con Litfiba , CCCP etc.)
Dal 1990 al 1998 ha suonato con la band di Lilith un mix di punk , folk , blues e cabaret (due album e , di nuovo , centinaia di concerti in tutta Italia ed Europa tra gli altri con Tav Falco , Elliot Murphy , Afterhours ) Dal 1993 al 2005 è stato batterista e percussionista con la Hammondbeat band Link Quartet (tre album , due tour in USA , concerti a Londra e tutta Europa insieme a James Taylor Quartet , Manu Chao , Brian Auger tra gli altri). Ha suonato anche con Hermits , Timepills , Statuto , Tav Falco e decine di altre bands.
Come produttore discografico ha prodotto una cinquantina di album , tra cui Statuto e Vallanzaska , lavorato con Sony , Emi , Cecchi Gori Music , Ricordi , RAI , Mediaset , fondato e gestito e etichette discografiche Face Records e Audiar Produzioni
Ha organizzato concerti di Manu Chao , Marc Ribot , Koop , Ivano Fossati , Kocani Orchestra, Giovanna Marini, Rossana Casale , Biagio Antonacci, Assalti Frontali , Solarflares , Moment , Direct Hits, Rage, Raw Power, CCM, Indigesti oltre che per decine di altre bands italiane.
Ha gestito 10 edizioni del Festival rock Tendenze , 5 edizioni del festival multiculturale Pulcheria , due del festival di world music TerraMadre.
Ha lavorato per 10 anni come DJ nella storica radio piacentina Quarta Radio
In preparazione il primo album solista "Keep the faith" con la partecipazione di vari eroi della scena mod italiana ed internazionale ovvero Chris Philpott (Small World), Adrian Holder (Moment), Allan Crockford (Prisoners/JTQ/Solarflares/Stabilisers), Tony Perfect (Long Tall Shorty), Yo Kalb (Soulsnatchers), Temponauts, Luca Re (Sick Rose), Bob Manton (Purple Hearts, Paolo Apollo Negri.
Il libro "Uscito vivo dagli anni ottanta" edito da Nda Press (www.ndanet.it) è uscito il 14 maggio 2007.
L'11 febbraio esce il nuovo album di LILITH AND THE SINNERSAINTS "The black lady and the Sinnersaints".
Antonio Bacciocchi (aka Tony Face): drummer , journalist (www.radiocoop.it) and also writer , records producer , blogger (www.tonyface.blogspot.com) , musical events manager , radio DJ , and last but not least on of the prime movers of the Italian mod movement.
He was the drummer in the hardcore punk band Chelsea Hotel (1979/1983) and in Not Moving (one of the most important Italian punk and roll bands during the 80’s , they played hundreds of gigs in Italy and Europe , supporting Clash , J.Thunders, Celibate Rifles, Iggy & the Stooges and releasing two albums and many singles and e,p.’s).
He played in Lilith band (punk folk blues cabaret) from 1991 to 1998 they exhibited hundred of times all over Italy and Europe , releasing two album and many other records , supporting Tav Falco , Elliott Murphy and Afterhours)
Eventually they released two album and other records.
Drummer and percussionist with the hammondbeat band Link Quartet from 1993 to 2005 (three albums , two tours in USA and many many gigs all over Italy and Europe , London included , supporting James Taylor Quartet , Manu Chao , Brian Auger).
He also played with Hermits , Timepills , Statuto , Tav Falco and a lot of other bands.
Tony produced about 50 records and worked with Sony , Emi , Cecchi Gori Music , Ricordi , RAI , Mediaset , and founded the labels Face Records and Audiar Produzioni.
He also directed gigs of international artists like Manu Chao, Marc Ribot, Koop, Ivano Fossati, Kocani Orchestra, Solarflares, Moment, Rage, Direct Hits, CCM, Raw Power and tons of other Italian bands.
As Chef Manager he joined the crew of Tendenze Rock Festival for 10 editions , of multicultural festival Pulcheria for 5 years and of the world music festival Terra Madre twice.
He DJed for 10 years on Quarta Radio
Tony's first book has been realised on 14 may 2007 with the title “Out alive from the 80’s”
The first solo album "Keep the faith" will be out soon featuring some mod hero from Italy and England.
