Twangalicious!

About Me

In Concert! Apple Valley Roundup Days 9/8/7

It don't mean a THANG . . . if it ain't got that TWANG!!

You heard it here first: I lead a double life! By day I'm a husband, a father and a mild-mannered DJ for K-FROG radio (95.1 KFRG, San Bernardino). But . . . by night I have another, hidden identity: I'm an amateur songwriter and musician, feverishly working on demos in my super-secret home studio.

(Well, it's only a secret because pitifully few people ever hear my songs. Which is why I'm here on MySpace.com. So listen to something. Twice). NEW SONGS - NEW CD! "Seven Deadly Sins", "My Favorite Word For Broken Heart (Is You)" and "Roses In The Fire" are all tracks from my upcoming CD "Suburban Legend". The CD should be complete by the end of November! Here's a sneak peak at the cover:

Hey Gram Parsons fans! Check out my my music video for "An Angel Grieves Again" (it's a tribute to him). And keep watching for tunes from the new CD. Keep twangin'.

My wife, Holly, is a romance writer with two novels published -- "Love On The Air", and her brand new one, "Meg's Confession". It's out now and available at Amazon.com, other on-line stores, and larger bookstores. Holly writes as Sierra Donovan -- using our kid's names as her pen name. Awww! Check out her sites: sierradonovan.com and her MySpace page
My friend and co-writer John Gibbons has an interesting blog/forum/video/assorted other weirdness site that you should check out too. It's dashing.com It's free, but if you tell 'em Charlie sent you, you'll get a discount.
And, to check out more of my/our songs, mosey on over to www.taxi.com/charlieray You'll find several there, including several songs from "Suburban Legend" . And you can find free mp3's and other fun stuff at the official Gibbons & Ray MySpace page. So whaddya waiting for?

Taxi Road Rally 2007

Well, another Taxi Road Rally has come and gone.  As usual it was great.  (For those who don't know about Taxi, it's a songwriter/performer organization that's well worth checking out. ...

Why I'm here!

Hi, and welcome to my page!Basically, I'm here to share a few tunes, and hopefully to network with other songwriters, which BTW, describes me much better than "performer" or worse yet, "ARTIST". ...
