I started getting seriously into music in the 80's when Electro came along, listening to stuff like Plantet Patrol, The Jonzun Crew, Afrika Bambaata, Cybotron, Captain Rock, Aleem, Newcleus and listening to the likes of Tim Westwood on LWR.In 1988, the Acid scene started which is when started buying vinyl on a more regular basis and in the Summer of 1989 I paid my first visit to Camden Palace. In 1990, I was given my first DJ'ing slot by Chris Paul, someone to whom I owe a great deal, doing a mid week night at the Gas Club, playing stuff by Looney Tunes, Patti Day, Frankie Knuckes, Toni Scott........I could go on and on. In January 1991 I was then offered the chance to play at the Camden Palace on Friday nights a night called Orange also run by Chris Paul......those of you who were there know!.....here I was resident for 4-5 years. In 1991, Orange began a night at The Rocket, which became the place to be on a Saturday night, great vibe, great crowd...........days never to be forgotten. Here I was DJ'ing along the likes of Grooverider, Fabio, Loftgroover, Hype, DMS, Randall........etc......this in turn led to gigs at Busbys, The Astoria and not forgetting the legendary Orange Raves at The Hippodrome. In 1995 I was contemplating giving up Dj'ing then one of the most popular old skool promotors on the scene, Funki (Moondance, Elevation, Innovation), again someone to whom I owe a lot, gave me the opportunity to play at his most infamous event, MOONDANCE. With the resurgene of Old Skool, this was one of the biggest and most talked about raves in London, and still is to this day, so for me it was quite an honour.Since then I have had the chance to play at other events such as Raindance, Best of British, Slammin Vinyl, One Nation, Breakin Science, Rave Utopia, Promised Land, World Dance, Nu Dawn etc etc, playing old skool classics alongside some new Hardcore Breaks by the likes of Malice and Enzyme, Junki Munki ande the guys from Enormous Mouse.....
I would like to send a big shout out to Funki, Chris Paul, Richard (Raindance), Ryan (Best of British), Phil Good (Promised Land) DJ Snypa, DJ Skie, Perry K, The Ratpack, Lee and my sister Becky.....and everybody else who knows me....too many to mention.
