Hello I'm David, I go by the name of Sonny Rodriguez I've been playing Latin Jazz, Salsa and Classic Rock music since 1981. I started playing percussion at the age of 18 and performed all over from Southern California to Bakersfield. There's one person whome I really look up to... that is, Poncho Sanchez who inspired me to learn how to play the Congas. I got so many ideas from his music. Now, going on 22years of performing, I have my own style. Last year, I had the pleasure of performing with the infamous "Fatt Katt and the Von Zippers" at Buck Owens' Crystal Palace with plans on performing with the group again this year. I'm seeking a band that plays Jazz or Salsa in need of an experienced, professional Conga Player... here in Bakersfield, Calif.
