Go to ImageShack&174; to Create your own Slideshow The Denial is a death metal five piece coming from Altamura (Bari), South Italy, actually formed by Giuseppe Falcicchio on vocals, Giuseppe Simone on guitars, Teo Berloco on guitars, Antonio Patella on bass and Michele Ciccimarra on drums. Formed back in 2001 The Denial started as a thrash-death metal cover band, playing songs of bands like At the Gates, Death, Hypocrisy, Carcass, Slayer and other american and european monster bands. In the end of 2001 the band began to write their own material trying to mix different styles of metal in particular. In the meantime the band starts to play its first shows, also supporting bands like Pandemia, Natron, Handful of Hate, Infernal Poetry, Novembre, Raza de Odio and many others! So, after more than 3 years (almost 4 years truly!!!), solved some line up problems(when the old drummer left the band...)the The Denial decided to release its first cd, which was recorded and mixed at Mediterraneo Studios in Santeramo in Colle(BA) - Italy. "The rebirth of fear" - album title- containing 7 songs, including a clean guitar instrumental and intro, of an unpredictable mix between USA and Swedish death metal full of many thrash influences, it’s quite easy to hear that is influenced by the major of songwriting by Death’s Chuck Schuldiner (R.I.P.) and by the mighty At the Gates but also able to go beyond the boundaries of that genre. In fact, "The rebirth of fear" obtained good responses from all webzines and magazines where it was reviewed. After this release The Denial decide to focuse themselves on live shows that continue til the end of 2005, when the band partecipate to Italian Chuck Schuldiner and Death tribute with Italian cover band, Zero Tolerance, and when some members joined melodic death metal band Neverise. But in the meanwhile, the band continues to compose the new songs trying to evolve their sound and going away from all metal cliches and its rules. New songs, play more catchy and dynamic but still more brutal and technical. After a long time spent in songs composition, in june 2007 they decide to record the new material at Denied Studio(personal guitarist home studio)passing here something like more than 30 days and mixing during july and august all the whole work at UNDERGROUND Studios(Carnal Forge, Terror 2000, Necrodeath...) in Sweden with Pelle Saether behind console. The result is 9 tracks album, including a Voivod cover "Nanoman", with a massive and clear sound, from which this promo cd is taken to search a label interested to publish the work

"Yep, here we have another fine metal band coming from the Italian underground. In the last months I reviewed excellent demo’s and albums from other Italian bands like for example Homicide Hagridden, Subhuman, Amnesia, Stigma and Raza de Odio. They created, all in their own genre, a nice piece of metal and this is also the fact with this death/thrash band called The Denial...Musically The Denial has it’s own style, but for sure is inspired by the old and newer Death and the song-writing of Chuck in particular. The music is full with that certain Death movement, melody, riffs and breaks. And it’s done really well! Just to listen the songs “Beyond the fears” and “In the fields of decease” and you’ll hear what I mean. For the very important variation on the album there is a long intro ("Dawn of retribution”) and the clean guitar instrumental“…Ethereal…” in the middle of the album. - ..."The Rebirth Of Fear" are consists of 7 tracks, lasted little more than 27 minutes. A band has released album in their own production, and we could say, that songs which they performed are mostly faster up-tempo.This band also performes materials in one convincebla way, with lotta’ energy efforts.In my opinion, their death is mostly infected by the 90’s influences, but I have to say, that judging by evident psychology, band is more in one sort of thrash metal, even that their performing option comes out from the second plan. And I have to mention one more time, Italians are convinceble and promising act.
