FATS WAH WAH DEBUT ALBUM 2006
The Fats Wah Wah debut album was recorded at Fat Sound Studios and engineered by Barry Stockley, is for sale at our gigs or at BIGOZ MUSIC
Recorded in one 10 hour sitting, the c.d. captures the energy of the band in its true to life state. The 9 tracks take the listener on a journey through several musical styles, from soulfull ballads to tough, riff based grooves.
FATS WAH WAH ’LIVE’ 2007
The Fats Wah Wah LIVE album was recorded over several months in ’06 / ’07 at the St. Andrews Pub. Sound recorded and engineered by Rob Harwood, a great musical snapshot of the band in its element, Live and vibing it up with the audience! In stores and available at Sound vault records
Take the trip through funky reggae, sweet ballads, foot stomping country and blues turned red hot. It’s more than music, it’s an attitude adjustment.
Matthew Frederick of ’The Age’ says, "Straddling the worlds of blues, funk and reggae, the guys in Fats have a powerful sound that’s been causing a heavy buzz around town. The band sounds like a mad scientists deranged attempt to combine the DNA of Tom Waits, George Clinton and Bob Marley."
Music - Rhythm section to die for: Luke on Fender axe, Steve - Fat Gibson EBO bass, and Josh - Chunky, fat & tight, - drumming of course! The sensuous Swamp Mummies on BV’s, Neesy and Jacki never stop dancing while Cam and Andy bookend the band with gorgeous solos and rhythm work.
Too much? I guess once this music gets in your head it’s a bit like that, doesn’t go away real soon and leaves a lasting impression. Not to take away from the serious kick arse blues though. Because when these guys dig in you better look out!

Sounds Like: Sunday afternoon in the 70's. Your first rock concert. The first time you made love, quick and messy. The sound of straight wiskey sliding down your throat. A day off work. Finding fifty dollars in your pocket, sex in a swamp.
