WHAT IS ABORTION?
Abortion is the gruesome premature expulsion of an embryo or fetus from the uterus. There are many types of abortion and the method used all depends on what stage of pregnancy the woman is in. In the first trimester of pregnancy the most common forms of abortions are the RU-486 ( the abortion pill) and suction method abortion. "RU-486 is affective in terminating a pregnancy up to 49 days after the beginning of the last menstrual cycle. It blocks a hormone required to sustain a pregnancy. When followed two days later by another medicine, misoprostol, to induce contractions, the pregnancy is terminated." Unfortunately there as been many deaths attributed to this " abortion pill". The majority of them are young healthy woman, for example there is the case of Holly who was just 18 years old when she decided to take this pill. Her father states this about the pill "The bottom line is that this is not about the abortion debate. This ( the RU-486 pill) is about the safety, health and welfare of women," So as you can clearly see this pill is not only responsible for the death of innocent babies but in some cases have also taken the mothers life as well. Then there is the method of suction abortion, this is when the pregnant woman's cervix is dilated and a tube is inserted and all of the uterine contents including the embryo is suctioned out therefore terminating the pregnancy. There are many risk associated with this as well includes extensive bleeding which may have to result in a hysterectomy, serious infection including sepsis, and also death may a result.In the last trimesters of pregnancy the methods of abortion get even more horrifying , first there is the dilation and evacuation method ( d&e) this is when a pair of forceps is inserted into the womb to grasp part of the fetus. The teeth of the forceps twist and tear the bones of the unborn child. This process is repeated until the fetus is totally dismembered and removed. Another form of abortion is salt poisoning this procedure is when a long needle injects a strong salt solution through the mother's abdomen into the baby's sac. The baby swallows this fluid and is poisoned by it. It normally takes somewhat over an hour for the baby to die from this. Within 24 hours, labor will usually set in and the mother will give birth to a dead or dying baby. However in a overwhelming number of cases the baby is born alive but this doesn't stop the abortionist from still killing the baby. In most cases the baby is just left somewhere in the corner to die a very slow death. So you can see that the facts speak for themselves, not only does abortion kill an innocent baby and puts the mother at risk, it is also done in the most cruel and inhumane ways imaginable.♥
