I started WristRock in 2002 when, after receiving my 500th compliment on a guitar watch I was wearing (and the obvious next question: "Where did I get it?"), I made the assumption that these were difficult to find. I bought out the remaining inventory of a limited edition "Gibson" guitar watch series and introduced them at the San Diego Street Scene in September, 2002.
After selling through almost the entire stock, I had a guitar playing friend design models based on other guitars and make some intelligent changes learned from the Gibson series. Little did I realize how this business would explode.
