Hello!My name is Diletta (ex-†Dead Poet †in MySpace) and I'm proud of the first Greek Epica Myspace!
You are warmly welcomed to be our friends,Greek or not. =)
The reason I created this Myspace is simple:
Epica is the only band that touched me in every way and I still remember how special I felt when I first listened to them.It is rare today to have quality in music.Epica is at the top of it and everyone is allowed to enter.

Epica is a symphonic metal band from the Netherlands. They started making music together in 2002 and have released three full-length albums, one dvd, one music book and five singles so far. They are currently working on their fourth album.
EPICA is life.So each and every one of you out there who wishes to live come and join us!

Epica signs record deal
We are very happy to announce that we have signed a record deal with Nuclear Blast. Nuclear Blast is one of the biggest and most renowned record companies in metal and has already released albums of top bands like In Flames, Therion, Stratovarius, Children of Bodom, Dimmu Borgir and Nightwish.
At the moment we are finishing up the recordings of the new album, which is scheduled for release around August/September this year. It was recorded again at the Gate Studio with renowned producer Sascha Paeth. This new album will feature the heaviest material of Epica so far.

Coen to be featured on the upcoming Xystus album + new studio report
Coen will make his appearance on the upcoming album of the Dutch metal band Xystus. The new album "Surreal" will be officially released on the 18th of May.

La Marmotte - WWF
On Saturday the 7th of July this year (07-07-07), Mark Jansen, guitarist of Epica, will ride "La Marmotte" for the benefit of the World Wide Fund for Nature. The Marmotte is a French one-day cycle marathon of 174 km. This marathon is one of the most renowned among the fanatic cyclists. This competitive journey can be compared to a heavy tour leg in the Alps. The ride involves 4 mountain passes, of which 3 are considered hors category (toughest mountains) in the Tour de France.

"We've finished the drumrecordings and we can only say that Ariën is one of the most talented drummers in the world. We are very happy to have him on the new album! At the moment Ad is finishing his guitars, Yves is recording his bass, Mark is recording his grunts and next week Simone will start with her vocal recordings. So as you can see the recordings are in full process. We are really happy with the new material, this is definitely going to be our most heavy album by far! We can't wait to be playing these songs live for you guys!"

Ariën van Weesenbeek will be the drummer in Epica's next album!
[For those who aren't familiar with him yet, Ariën is the drummer of the Dutch death metal band God Dethroned.Ariën is no stranger to Epica since he already worked together with Coen and Yves in Project Sic as well as with Ad on Delain's debut album Lucidity.For Project Sic and Delain look at Top Friends.]
Ariën's
contribution will be only for that album,so Epica is
still searching for a new drummer.

Many of you may still have the question if Simone will join Nightwish as their new vocalist.But here is the announcement from Epica's official site:
The last few months there have been a lot of rumours about Simone, implying she would leave Epica to join Nightwish as their new vocalist. With this rumour being published in a Finnish celebrity gossip magazine we are again getting a lot of questions whether or not this is true, so once again: Simone is not in contact with Nightwish nor their management and will not be leaving Epica. Don't believe everything you read, specially not in gossip magazines :-) Pimp My Profile
