About Me

“Las Vegas is a fate that she couldn’t escape, no matter how fast and furiously she traveled around the world to evade its’ seductive allure.”Jodi was raised in Atlantic City, New Jersey. As the daughter of a former Playboy Bunny and a Casino Architect, her childhood was influenced by Miss America pageants, Hugh Hefner’s provocative imagery, Frank Lloyd Wright and Donald Trump’s cocktail parties. After a short stint interning in the family business, Jodi came across an article about backpacking overseas, and within days had successfully sold off all of her worldly possessions, having convinced her parents of the cultural benefits of the “year out.”That year, eventuated into a thirteen year adventure around the globe. Jodi set off backpacking through Europe, with a six month pit stop in the Middle East to work on a Kibbutz in Israel. There she honed her grapefruit picking skills and experienced the world outside her gilded cage. This further inspired her travels and led her to explore Australia and Asia, before returning to England to enroll in University.Once academically entrenched in Oxford, Jodi was introduced to the dance music scene and never looked back. University provided her with a captive audience that required constant entertaining. She rather naturally fell into a role as an unofficial event organizer, designing parties and balls for her mates and their cohorts. In her final year she went to work for the burgeoning Po Na Na Group, working at their intimate “membership based” club as resident “door bitch.”Upon graduation, the allure of publishing quickly faded as the nightclub industry beckoned. Jodi worked for the Po Na Na Group for a number of years, learning the ropes during a massive period of expansion for the company. The Po Na Na brand had expanded from being an exclusive London based group of clubs to a National chain of clubs that extended their influence across the UK and beyond to South Africa. After seven years in England, Jodi collaborated with one of the founding partners of Po Na Na to expand the brand into the Australasian market to launch the first site in Sydney. Unfortunately the company disbanded and the project never eventuated, however undeterred, Jodi remained in Sydney for three years actively “researching” the relevance of the “It Girl.” After many late nights and posing like rock star, a misunderstanding with the Australian consulate left her stranded in Thailand facing deportation proceedings. She spent three months in exile on a beach in Koh Samui, before returning to London and hiring some legal big guns who eventually got her back to her Jimmy Choos and her view of the Sydney Harbor Bridge. Unfortunately, deportation wasn’t an easy stigma to wash off and a year later, she was politely ejected again, this time there was no arguing her way out of it. Immigration declared the party officially “over” and Sydney’s loss was suddenly Las Vegas’s gain. Fate had come calling.Jodi has spent the last three years in Las Vegas positioning herself in the event production industry. She has utilized her International experience by working on a wide array of events and promotional campaigns for companies such as Miller Brewing Company, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Vegas Magazine, Green Valley Ranch, New York New York Hotel, Caesar’s Palace and CH Robinson. This year will see the launch of her own company JJ Marketing, which will focus on special events, promotions and marketing solutions for an array of clients that are anxious to explore creative strategies that push the boundaries, creating a new standard for “The Vegas Experience.”JJ Marketing’s aim is to “Bypass the pretense and produce the experience.”With Jodi at the helm, that experience is destined to lead to the most unexpected places….it always ends up as a story that has to be told. “Sometimes it’s simply about the adventure.”
