Add to My Profile | More VideosHere is a project Dr.Nowak and I did for an artist called Samantha Marais who is a very talented singer/songwriter. The song is called Charcoal Man - and starts in high definition..before merging into Super 8 as she enters the celluloid world of Charcoal Man....it was good fun...a beautiful day...and an awesome tune...

My Interests

Phosphorescence, ostriches, photography, skydiving, 8mm Cines, piano, strange countries...especially wild ones with cultures that need no seeking out, , adventure, skiing, films, coffee, stars and space, the environment...I love the ocean, sailing, fishing, bees, cooking, wide open spaces and anything that flies - I have always loved kites. Also love meeting animals (on their own terms)...

I'd like to meet:

I'll always go somewhere if I don't know many others going - and being here is a little like that...
If I could meet anyone...at the moment...today...it'd be Doug Bruce.

Music:

Obsessively consume an eclectic range...Brazilian music...at the moment. Winter Roberts (Have a listen to Miles' music - click him on the right hand side and tune in), Ben Harper, Counting Crows, Davie Bowie, Air, Morcheeba, Badly Drawn Boy, Nick Drake, Paul Weller, Stan Getz, Ennio Morricone, The Cure, Rodney T Franklin, ELO, William Walton, Credence Clearwater Revival, Tracy Chapman, HotHouse Flowers, Union Jack, Nina Simone, Moodswings, I’d be upstanding for a lot of Elton's Early Stuff (Idol, Ticking, Levon, The Greatest Discovery, Funeral For A Friend). I love Brian Wilson – particularly the more complex, less surf stuff – ‘Pet Sounds’ and ‘Smile’ are my favourites (I am openly obsessive...went to listen to Brian play ‘Smile’ 3 times at the Royal Festival Hall…it was beautiful, haunting. That’s a snapshot.

Movies:

True Romance, One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, Donnie Darko, Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid, Sexy Beast, Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, Duel, Goodwill Hunting, Where Eagles Dare, Silence Of The Lambs, Back to the Future, Withnail and I (I'm a Blennerhassett), Dead Poets Society. Jaws, I love it.

Television:

Documentaries...'Unknown White Male' was mindblowing - I'd urge everyone to see it. I've not yet lost interest in Lost.

Books:

Child In Time, Fugitive Pieces, Songlines, The Beach, A Million Little Pieces, The Alchemist

Heroes:

and Villains, just see what you've doneMOVING IMAGES AND CINE MOVIES...
