Soul Takers

The band was created in 1998 by Francesca and Federica Badalini (today they both are professional pianists) who found in Heavy Metal a natural evolution of Classical Music, far from the academic chains that today entrap it and turn it into an elitist genre. In Soul Takers songs piano is at the same time their peculiar mark and the link between their music and their classical influences.After several line-up changes they recorded their first promo-cd "Through the silence of words" in 2002 at Mezzanima studios (Arcore, Milan).After the come-back of the astonishing original singer Dino Brentali the band signed for Northwind records and recorded its first full length album "Tides" at New Sin Sudios with Luigi Stefanini in October 2004 (check out the audio samples ). "Tides" was released in the first months of 2005 with the bonus title-track video.In 2006 the band left Northwind Records to sign for the wellknown italian label Dragonheart Records and in July Soul Takers recorded their new album "Flies in a Jar" at New Sin Studios.
