Hi to everybody! My name is Stefano, I’m a SINGER from North Italy! I was born on April 2 1977. My music activity started when I was 16 with the GUITAR, I've played on my own for a couple of years then I started taking private lessons of both electric and classic style. Over the years I’ve played with many bands: cover and original music, in 2001 with my prog/power metal band Ar’ondight I recorded a Promo CD with our original songs, which was well reviewed in some metal magazines and web sites. Unfortunately in 2003 a serious accident occurs at my left wrist, so I was forced to strongly reduce my guitar activities… think it was the worst period of my “musical lifeâ€!
One of my best friend hear me singing (singing??……maybe trying!!) during a TOTO concert in my city (Padua) and suggested me to take some lessons. Initially I was full of doubts, but in that period I wasn’t able to play seriously the guitar because of the wrist, so…I tried!!! I met my teacher (and today also one of my best friend!!!) M° Vittorio Zambon, a professional well known Operatic Tenor, and I start studying with him vocal technique and interpretation. Some results come out… and I was invited to join my Master’s Musical Association. With some singers, dancers, actors and a choir we put on stage selections of the most popular Musicals around North Italy. I’ve played many roles as one of the leads singers (Jesus from Jesus Christ Superstar, Grengoire from Notre Dame de Paris, Enjolras from Les Miserables, ecc…). Musicals are very fine, and singing in theatre give me a lot of emotions, I’ve also played for half a year with a professional Dancing Orchestra as Singer/Guitarist…but soon the fire of rock & roll called me back again!!! I start the adventure with Orpheus a Mr Big tribute band, and after multiple line-up changes we are going to came out! Also others projects are near to take form…
(may 07': I'm the new singer of the Prog Metal band Phaenomena!! We're now recording our first album coming out summer 07!!!)
In my extra musical life I work as biologist at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering of the National Research Council (ok…no one believes, but is true..:) !!) and I study and teach Martial Arts and Self Defence Techniques.
