About Me

Phaenomena project born in 1997 thanks to Pasquale Barile (keyboards) and Luca Galantino (Guitars). The ideawas to compose Pop/Rock music and for few years this guys wrote and played their songs in many rock festivals.During 2001, line-up chagned 'couse Fausto De Bellis (Guitars) and Michele Iuso (Bass) joined the band. Thisevent represented a change of musical orientation. Phaenomena became infact a progressive metal band. In2002 and 2003 the band took part in many progressive contests playing chiefly Dream Theater songs(Phaenomena considers DT like a great source of inspiration).The executions of DT songs were alwaysappreciated by pubblic. In 2004, Phaenomena began to write progressive compositions. During this period born"The Praise of Madness" project. It's a concept album based on "The praise of Folly" by Erasmo of Rotterdam,celbrated humanist. On september 2004, Phaenomena won second place at "Rockin'Primapagina " in Crema(CR) recieving a great praise by technical jury. During 2005 there were others line-up changes and on August14th the band won the Technical jury award at "Feste e Kenge" festival, in Montecilfone (CB). NowadaysPhaenomena has its seat in Bologna, with a steady line-up formed by Pasquale Barile (keyboards), Fausto DeBellis (lead guitar), Luca Galantino (rhythmic guitar), Michele Iuso (bass), Giovanni Semeraro (drums andpercussions) and Stefano Sbrignadello (Voice). On June 2007 Phaenomena will finish the entire recording of its frist album, "The Praise ofMandess". This album will contains 10 tracks (total time 75 mins). More informations comig soon!
