Word Man loves to sing and play guitar

About Me

Thanks for stopping by and having a listen! Tom Schimmel moved to Georgia in 2006 and started to teach himself how to sing and play guitar. During nine months of life in Athens, Georgia; Tom received a lot of useful advice, eclectic music, and tasty memories. Now he listens to a lot of country music and baseball games when he is not writing blogs, books, or songs. He has played a few open-mic shows and has posted over twenty home recordings on MySpace. Slowly, he is finding styles of guitar (acoustic) and voice (soul & country) which suit his vocal range. Words are never in shortage, and as he practices more on the guitar and the voice, his poems are finding life in song. Look soon for new music and thanks for visiting his page!P.S. Tom doesn't have any new videos of himself, so he ressurected an old movie for your viewing pleasure. The story takes place many moons ago in 1994. It's about staying true to your self in spite of the world.ALWAYS and FOREVER

Sounds Like:

I sound like myself learning to sing and play guitar into a USB compatible microphone which connects to a computer which records the sound and then utilizes higher forms of math to somehow turn it into zeroes and ones. The resulting zeroes and ones are sent through copper wires and then bounced coherently off satellites in orbit. A uniform resource code: http://www.myspace.com/tomschimmel directs potential listeners like yourself to my little corner of cyberspace. At my site, a jukebox application makes it available for you - the visitor - to have the song downloaded into your own computer where it is sent through your speakers and reaches your ears. It is both pointless and obligatory to say I sound better in person. My songs have been to space and back. They would only sound worse if I were podcasting in a space shuttle during a solar storm. Thank you for your tolerance of my home-studio recordings.
