M.Cem Tuncer born in 1978, Studied; guitar with Sarp Maden and Gökçen Taskiran, music theory with Semih Korucu and Mehmet Nemutlu, ensemble with Bulent Ortaçgil and Önder Focan at AKADEMI ISTANBUL jazz department in 1997. In 1998 gained scholarship in Istanbul Bilgi University. Worked with important musicians such as Neset Ruacan, Kamil Özler, Ali Perret,L.Butch Morris, Can Kozlu, Aydin Esen, Imer Demirer, Ricky Ford, Selen Gülün, Mike Wilkens. In 1999 played in Belgium Sfinks, Amsterdam Music Festivals, in 2000 Germany Hildesheim Festival, in Zurih, Basel, Stuttgart, Berlin, Hanoover, in 2002 in Gent and Brussels at the Ethnic Music Festival took place in various activities and concerts, in Istanbul jazz collective. In Babylon he was director of concert and made the arrangements of so many projects. He was the arrangement assistant of Önder Focans Purple in Blue project in the Istanbul Jazz festival held in 2000. Played lots of guitar duo concerts with Önder Focan. He played on tours with lots of artists in Turkey.Also arranged so many albums between 1998-2007. Tuncer completed his study in ISTANBUL BILGI UNIVERSITY composition department. Worked in I.B.U as Teaching Assistant for 1 year. He studies his master degree in ISTANBUL TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY Conservatory in composition department. He writes on the page named klinik in Jazz magazine published in Turkey.
