About Me

I'm older than the hills (680 million years to be exact)I'm 100 to 300 miles wide, running from Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, 1,500 miles south-westward to central Alabama in the United States (with foothills in northeastern Mississippi), although the northernmost mainland portion ends at the Gaspé Peninsula of Quebec. most of my peaks are around 3,000 ft with the highest being Mt. Mitchell in North Carolina (2,037m, 6,684 ft.), It's the highest point in the United States east of the Mississippi River as well as the highest point in eastern North America.I have recently developed a second-hand smoking habit, but still have some living to do.
