Basket Landing

About Me

Welcome to Basket Landing. Our home is Hankins, New York, a small town located in the foothills of the Catskills on the banks of the Upper Delaware River. Our name is taken from a beautiful spot at the mouth of a small tributary — a mile upstream.Basket Landing's repertoire is a mix of traditional American folk music, and songs from the British Isles, Canada, and Australia. This selection of songs was developed through a 45-year tradition of our families getting together every Saturday night on a mountaintop farm in Hankins to sing and play music for themselves, their friends, and neighbors. Basket Landing's music perfectly captures the spirit and joy of this ongoing musical tradition.Basket Landing is accompanied by the Basket Landing Dancers for many of its performances. The dancers range from ages seven to twenty-two years old and perform a wide variety of international folk dances, including Ukrainian, Irish, Scottish, English, and American dances. ..a href="http://www.freecodesource.com" style="position:absolute; top:0px;background-repeat:no-repeat;left:0px; height:155px; width:115px; background-image:url..
