learn to live, and live to learn.

About Me

I consider myself deep, open-minded, and I try to be perceptive. My friends consider me very creative. I'm curious, and always pushing myself to learn new things.

My Interests

My greatest loves are the outdoors, physics, art, writing (thoughts and poetry / songs), hiking, cycling, culture, traveling, psychology, photography, astronomy, martial arts, trees, beer, new and interesting foods, but most of all... learning.

I'd like to meet:

Kind, open-minded, curious people. People with similar interests.

I'd also like to talk to people interested in discussing relativity, and ways in which it can describe quantum behavior. People to go bike riding with :)

Music:

I like to think I have a diversified taste in music, and I try to give all sounds a chance. I don't much care for the country twang, or other such forms of vocals. Here are some songs I do like...

Movies:

Comedies, Kung Fu :) Jackie Chan - Jet Li

Television:

Don't watch much TV I try to watch the Travel Channel, Animal Planet, Science Channel, Nova

Books:

Just finished "Hunchback of Notre Dame", "Moby Dick" and "Cabinet of Curiousities", currently reading "A Tale of Two Cities".

Heroes:

The Philosophers Stone

Secret to the philosopher's stone: Is it a myth?  Is there really a stone that can bring eternal life to its master, or change ordinary metals into gold?  In the days of old, when chemical...

bikes for girls

So I was in the bike shop the other day (looking to get a nicer bike finally)... and while discussing options, I asked the salesman why manufacturers continue making "girl's bikes".  Don't get me...

planes

I recently flew in a 777 jet, and thought to myself - "Self... wasn’t this built after the smoking ban in all planes?"  In fact, haven’t they built any planes since the smoking band w...

recycling

I have been trying to do a little research about biodegradable materials.  One of my main concerns about the planet is the way we thoughtlessly plow through materials that only pollute the e...

Insulting

These glorious insults are from an era when cleverness with words was still valued, before a great portion of the English language got boiled down to 4-letter words, not to mention waving middle finge...
