About Me

LIFE OF A DRUMMER:
It was the time I sent my mom's pots and pans to hell when she decided to get me my first drum set. Now 38, since the age of 9, I have played in countless bands, wrote and composed original music, provided musical soundtracks for a handful of starter-up independent movies, recorded for a variety of artists, provided drum instruction for aspiring drummers. Throughout my scholastic years all the way up to my degree in Percussion Performance, I've been involved in ensembles ranging from Classical to Calypso to Avante Garde to Experimental.
My current bands include Simple Habit--Classic Rock to current, Quincy--original Alt-Country-Americana, and my alter ego resides with the Clefjumpers--an electronica based, low-fi experimental duo with my wife, Justine. The Clefjumpers sound has not yet been identified....... :)
I freelance regularly in the Tucson area and will expand my services to the outside world when the gig is good!

Sounds Like: No one has really labeled my drumming style. But if you asked me I'd probably start by saying I'm musically playful, groove oriented, slightly unorthodox, tight, mechanical, organic, natural, and can conform to or break the rules--whatever's appropriate. I prefer to blend within the music than being in front of the music. I'm certainly not a "me me" drummer, but I'd rather get your attention subtly in hopes you may hit the play button one more time. And if at least I made you move your ass cheeks on your chair, then I have done my job!I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
