Im a young artist from the Gold Coast. I gave television the flick in 2004, along with some other important things, pulled my finger out and started to take my art seriously. A good hit of leukaemia and a liver failure when I was a teenager, followed by a stint in the army has given me a very respectful and an appreciative approach to my art and life.
I follow most sports as well as playing them. Touch football, indoor cricket, volleyball, squash, golf, surfing, jogging and if it wasn't for the multiple trips to hospital, I'd still be playing rugby union. I also go along to as many exhibitions as i can find along with entering my own art works into them.
I worked as an artist for a company on the Gold Coast for a year and now i work as an artist from home for myself. Trying to keep afloat is difficult but it keeps the pressure on that i need.
After having worked in a hospital a little while back for four and a half years, gave me yet another eye opener into why life is so precious and every day should be approached with purpose and appreciation for being alive.
