Hey there.My name’s Rowan Canute and I’m a 25 year old from the South of England. At the age of 15 I discovered electronic music and started going to endless trance parties in London. In 2001 I began experimenting with hardware synthesizers along side my studies until the decision was made to intertwine the two which has lead to a recently obtained BA (HONS) degree in Music production. While studying in Brighton, I began DJ’ing at local events such as “Enlightenment”, “180 degrees” and “XS”. After a few years of gaining valuable knowledge in the art of producing I decided to concentrate solely on mixing my own tracks and formed my current live act and producing alias "Flimsy Wing". Flimsy Wing is influenced by all of the sub genres in the psy trance scene but is geared more towards the full-on sound.Since then I’ve played my music at a few parties in the South of England alongside innovative UK talent such as OOOD, Psymmetrix, Error Corrective and Compressor.
