Making new friends
So much more
Become my friend, you will learn so much more about me.
I have been very blessed in my life to meet, and know, so many prominent people. It would not be right of me to name drop; but I will tell you I had a wonderful experience meeting Mother Theresa when she came to Hong Kong. What an amazing woman she was!
I would like to meet like-minded people. Those who enjoy nature, gardening, spirituality, yoga, travel. Up lifting people and those who will walk this path of friendship with me.
Here is an incredible story which I heard in the 1990s. I have the image captured on film in my home and wished to share it with you here.
SAI BABA PREVENTS AN AIRCRAFT CRASH
In the year 1995 an airplane occupied with passengers flew over South America, when the engine suddenly suspended. The airplane lost rapidly at height and leaned in the dive dangerously to the side. The pilot knew that a venezuelische hostess on board was, which in Sai Baba believed. He began to call: "request your Guru to take us out of this misfortune!"
The hostess had expressed hardly the name Sai Babas, when its shape appeared suddenly direct in the sky before the cockpit. At the same time the airplane won again at height and the engine started again. The feature of Sai Baba visibly remained after the incident still further 20 minutes in the sky - during this time the venezuelische hostess took up the photo of the feature, visible on this side. The airplane achieved its goal without further obstacles.
A father and mother -
by loving their children ,
by loving one another,
they are loving God.
But just as love and peace begin at home,
so do disturbance and sadness also begin at home -
when a family is not united.
The family that prays together, stays together.
But more and more we see
that families are not staying together,
and this is the greatest destroyer of peace in the world.
If there is so much disturbance in the world today,
if there is so much sadness,
so much killing and anxiety,
it is because the family is no longer united...
father against mother,
children against children...
a mother committing a murder in her own womb,
afraid to have to love one more child,
so afraid that she must kill that child -
the child must die so that she may live,
so that she may be free.
If a mother can kill her own child,
what is there to stop others from killing one another?
If today there is so much suffering in the world,
it is because the child -
the unborn child,
the innocent child -
is unwanted, unloved, uncared for.
I think the best gift we can give to any child
is to make that child feel
wanted, loved, cared for -
because that child is the greatest gift of God
to the family,
to the nation,
to the world.
Because that child is the Life of God,
created for greater things,
in the image of God -
to love
and to be loved.

My Mum, who battled Emphysema for over 20 years, and did not let that stop her. My Mum, who was legally blind but still made the most delicious meals. My Mum, who protected me during the war years. My Mum, whom I love and miss dearly.
My Dad who took me to places I would have never dreamed of, and helped make life fun for us. He is a great man in my life and I love him very much.
My husband, Abe. The Light and love of my life, who showed me the rest of the world and the best years of my life. He gave me our beautiful children and shared with me a life that one can only dream about. Sweetheart, you ARE my love, my life and one of my greatest heroes.
My adopted daughter, Hetty, who has sacrificed SO much for our family.
My son, Christopher. Christopher does so much for us he is really a wonderful son. He runs the bakery which we own, and he dedicates all his time and effort into making it a success.
He works long hours and does not often get the "thank you" he deserves.
So, I wanted to add you to my list of heroes to give you your just dues. I love you very dearly Christopher and thank you from the bottom of my heart.
My daughter, Leyla Hur, who has gone through some amazing trials in her life, and has come out shining. She is also a light in my life.
My son-in-law, who has overcome amazing challenges and never lets anything, or anyone, stop him from succeeding in life. He is such a good husband and gives my daughter the world.
My baby sister, Christine; who is still going through her trials, yet she does so with grace and elegance. I am SO proud of her and the woman she has become. I wish we were all together so that I could protect her, but I also realise that this is her path and can only be there as a support and shoulder when needed.
I also wanted to add here that my Grandparents, Ana and Otto, were very instrumental in my youth. They showered us with love and our family life was filled with fun and wonderful experiences.
Here is a list of people I want to acknowledge as heroes to me and have been instrumental in shaping me to who I am:
Oma (Anna)
Opa (Otto)
Tante Leni
Tante Irmgard
Tante Hannie
Tante Hilde
Onkel Herbert
Onkel Rudy
Onkel Ewald
Irene
Gunther
Walter
Heinz
Bernd
Nan

Nora, who was always there for us. She always threw us a "Life Saver" when there was no one else.
Shereen and her family, for making us feel like family when we arrived here in Canada. Who was by our side, when we went through the agony of the open-heart surgery for my love. Who massaged his ice cold feet for hours before he was taken into surgery. Who made sure I ate, who washed as ironed our clothes, without being asked. She treated us as "family". She is such a loving person, who cannot be loved and praised enough.
Then there is my most dearest and oldest friend Primrose.
We have been through many trials, agonies in each other's life. Our friendship is my most valued possession. Her wisdom and guidance has stirred me in directions I would never have found on my own. She has been my friend, my mentor and I regard her as "my sister".
Dr. Tran the miracle worker. We have seen him cure terminal cancer and not only put the individual in "remission" but totally reversed any cancerous tumours and cells.
The individual had stage 4 terminal cancer. He had been given less than four months to live and did not receive a single chemo treatment. Dr. Tran cured him!
We have seen him reverse full-blown AIDS to HIV positive.
He is curing my husband's problems. It is not dementia, but the effects of many TIAs (minor strokes) which cause him short term memory loss.
My husband is no longer walking with his cane, he remembers small things which he had not done for many years, he walks with his head held high and greets people in the mall.
Dr. Tran helped my daughter, after her coma. He helped reverse the worse effects of brain damage caused by the coma and events leading up to the coma. Today, she leads a full, active life. Only when she is tired does she notice any effects from the residual brain damage. It only affects her speech.
After she came out of the coma, she could not talk properly, walk, read, write, etc. She had been told to get on "disability" and find a "good hobby" and then live out the rest of her life to the "best of her ability".
After her own determination, and the treatments from Dr. Tran, she now spends her life helping others. She is happily married and living an incredibly active, happy, and successful life!
Yes, Dr. Tran deserves a place in my list of heroes for being a miracle worker and a total Saint! He is wonderful!
He works these miracles by accupuncture!
There are so many others, who, over a life-time have been as Angels on Earth for us. We are eternally grateful for all these loving people, who came into our life and blessed our lives.
Of course, people like Sai Baba, Mother Theresa, The Dalai Lama, Ghandi, Rosemary Altea (a dear friend), anyone who spends their time and energy working at making the world a loving, safe, healthy, healing, and spiritual place.
