Lounge Hop

About Me

Jungle Lifestyles and Space Ghost Studios present Jungle Traffic. Experimental Hop bringing together the smooth sounds of Lounge and Acoustic to the River City and beyond.
Jungle Traffic formed from the ‘Attic Sessions’ back in late 2005 and have since shared an interest in experimental Hip Hop. Through these jam sessions emerged a new style combining smooth Hip Hop beats and acoustic based Roots. This new sound brings a fresh new taste to the Australian Hip Hop/Roots community and rolls through the airwaves as ‘Lounge Hop’. Something you can bounce to and something you can lounge to.
Their Debut Album ‘Freedom Town’ is due for release in 07’ and is set to showcase the fresh new sounds of Lounge Hop. The album is being engineered by Sammsonite from local Brisbane Hip Hop crew The Optimen. Sammsonite co-produced The Optimen as well as local acts The Serenity and The Terntable Jediz and adds his distinctive true-school Hip Hop touch.

Sounds Like: Jungle Traffic is focussed on merging the two styles of Hip Hop and Acoustic Roots into a new sound called 'Lounge Hop'. It is reflective of what Jungle Traffic believe Australian Hip Hop should represent; Sunshine, Blues Skies and Roots & Reflection.
Something you can bounce too and something you can lounge too...
The Hip Hop beats are filled with rolling base lines and Roots samples. Simplicity has been the key as Zan ensures the listener will be rollin out the door with a bounce in their step to the sounds of Traffic.
The Acoustic Roots based sounds of the The Wolf combine Reggae, Blues & Roots into 'Lounge Hop' and provide a more tribal sound to Zan's beats. The Folk influence enhances the ballad aspect of many of the tracks.
Zan Traffic brings a sharp mouth and a sharp mind to the mic. Zan's confronting lyrics and unique style demands the attention of the listener and never takes a backward step.
GC Jungle gives a smooth mix-up as his lyrics provide a great contrast to Zan Traffic. GC will smooth you out until Zan grabs hold again.
The Wolf brings a Folk sound to the mic and backs the MC boys up with smooth chorus's and confrontational ballads. The Woulfe brings a calm to the storm...for a little while.
Jungle Traffic is all about Experimental music. Look out for the boys incorporating new sounds in the future, a sound that is sure to make your soul smile. In the meantime sit back, relax and take a ride through the jungle...
