Timepiece have established themselves as one of the finest live jazz acts around. Formed by some of London's best musicians their sound takes influence from 1940's to present day jazz and beyond. Playing a mixture of original material plus classics from the golden period of Jazz, bringing them to life with their unique arrangements.
Members have played with and backed many jazz greats of our time including renowned saxophone quartet Itchy Fingers, Chick Corea, Mike Stern, David Sanborn, Tom Jones, Helen Shapiro, Michelle Hendricks, Salena Jones, Johnny Dankworth and Tommy Chase.They have played at prestigious venues throughout the UK such as Ronnie Scotts, The Ritz Casino, The London Jazz Café, The Royal Festival Hall, Pizza Express and Café Rouge chains and The Greenwich Theatre. Also many Jazz Festivals throughout the UK & Europe and are busy through the year performing at corporate functions weddings and private parties. They regularly play at events sponsored by the local Councils including the "Music in the Park" summer program run by the Corporation of London.Studying at London's Guildhall of Music and forming part of The National Youth Jazz Orchestra, these musicians will add an energetic, sophisticated atmosphere to any event.TIMEPIECE plays from a duo to a sextet plus vocals. A popular format is a trio which consists of tenor sax, piano and bass. This line-up is excellent for unobtrusive background jazz during cocktails, dinner or at smaller events.
