About Me
A child of the 70’s her first musical experience was listening to Carol King’s Tapestry whilst perched on her Dad’s shoulders. A happy home life was set against a background of Frank, Ella and the great standards.Beverley’s teenage years were a mixture of pop, amateur dramatics, and singing tuition. All this led to the scary decision to give up a 9 to 5 office existence and take a 6 months singing contract on a cross channel ferry. She survived, found her vocation, and has gone on to travel the world. Beverley has worked with many artists of stage and television including; Michael Barrymore, Emma Bunton, BBC’s “Strictly come dancing†team, Suzanne Shaw, Frank Carson, Elaine Delmar, Jeff Hooper, Lonnie Donegan, Freefaller, Jeffrey Stevens, Ray Ward, Mitch Hiller, Symeon Cosburn, Lee Gibson, Tony Bernard, Dave Coltan, Simon Bates, Dave Lewis, Mike Coates, Jeff Lardner, Sam Burgess, Steve Lodder, Andy Hamill, Derek Nash, Danny Kirsch, Tony Bernard, Joanna Lumley, Brenda Blethyn, Ruby Wax Bobby Davro, Frank Bruno, Martin Jay, Neil Drinkwater, Neil Fox, Helen Keating, Jimmy Jewel. After over 10 years Beverley continues to enjoy regular vocal tuition with Mitch Hiller, where they even find time to collaborate writing songs. Her singing tastes have a common theme – anything with a great melody and words that mean something. Backing delivered by wonderful musicians and music sensitively arranged is always the thrilling extra she is looking for. Inevitably jazz influences and the American Songbook are close to her heart, but not exclusively. The journey continues
