About Me

LATEST UPDATE WE GET TO KEEP THE FARM AND STAY. all the crap with moving to the city blew up and everything on the job front at home resolved it self. There is someone up there that wants this family to stay on the farm and out of the cities.
I am going to post a lengthly recap of the past 2 months as I have time sorry for getting back to everyone so slowly it has just been one of those years.I got to get back out to the barn as the lated bunch of does are all deciding to kid out now. 6 new doe kids all before lunch whew when it rains it pours.
BREAKING NEWS. After much debate and weighing options we are going to have to move back to the city. You see we are in the process of adopting a wonderful little boy, The problem lies with in that out in the middle of nowhere we cannot get him the services he needs for his best chance at a normal life. Last Wednesday we were finally appointed as his legal guardians and I can freely make this announcement with out the fear of him being taken away from us. The Farm was listed with United Country and the last of the goats were taken to the sale barn with the exception of Tooth Gnasher and Chili that we gave to another couple on the one condition that they could not be sold or eaten since they became more pets then animals.
removed cause it just isnt true anymore
***I now leave you to our regularly scheduled my space page***
Howdy! We are a small family run Hobby Farm in rural Missouri. Basically My wife and I got tired of eating all the chemicals that we used to found in regular commercial produce and meat. So being the enterprising people we are we decided to buy a farm and do it for our selves. (since there isnt a wild oats out here or a trader joes) After just jumping into this full tilt with no idea of what the hell we were doing. We decided it would be great to start a forum so that other new hobby farmers could have a place to discuss what to do and how to do it. We especally would love for everyone to at least make a container garden in the city like we used to do for our fresh tomatoes,
If you would like to stop on by the forum and take a look see. Lots of tutorials on all sorts of topics. Metalworking, Livestock, Politics of farming, NAIS, Tools & Equipment, Not to mention project ideas and walk throughs. Just click on the banner above and feel free to look around.
