About Me

i'm of a few that grew up on a small island off the coast of Washington State.... Orcas Island! How many of us can really call it home? It's fifty seven square miles of diversity and craziness, of people who love life and live it to the fullest,....... definately one of a kind,the new Eden....haha.....when you leave the rock, you are changed forever.....well....sort of....=)i come from a huge family...at least by american standards...and love them unconditionally!....grew up with the ocean as my backyard and have missed it terribly.....i love to travel...tend to go to the quirky weird places no one else goes to....been to the middle east and all over the US, joined the Navy to help put my life into perspective,it really changed me!.....i found my element as a compassionate care giver, full of adrenaline, working as an Nurse,EMT and Instructor...i'm always in school, i love learning!....there is a feeling of completness that i love about it~i'm a winter person and snowboarding is my passion...always looking for something more....my heritage is mainly IRISH and i am proud of it!!...love people, life, individuality, promoting earth friendliness to save our oceans and enviroment! I believe in karma and love...that we can be happy in the midst of turmoil and desolation.... there is soo much in this world to see, do, and learn...i want to experience it all...... ..

My Interests

i love to try new things...don't ever dare me to try something...i'll end up doing it... i tend to be laid back about life...i just like to have fun and live!Fall is here and its time for hot tea on cool mornings and indian summers...the leaves are changing, and kids are back in school...time for life to slow down a little and to look forward to the wonderful winter months!My Family is first and foremost! Snowboarding,Skiing, Swimming,Kayaking,Camping, Hiking, Museums, Traveling, Photography, Artwork, a good cup of coffee or chai tea, being with the people i love most*~* Our Mother earth! Protecting ocean life!! Liberating this world from the horrors that have been created!!

Movies:

Time to curl up on the couch in the evenings and catch up on all those summer movies....i did see the new Harry Potter movie on the big screen....and Transformers...there will be plenty of time for the others...=)If I do.....its for my "zoning" time...when i don't want to think about anything too serious... i have a couple movies that i have to watch over and over...i get that way with books too...i call them comfort movies=) Braveheart, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings And Ladder 49...but that's cause I love Firefighters!Who doesn't??

Television:

T.V. rots the mind ....=) i rarely watch it, has to be when i am in veg-mode...there really isnt anything great to watch.... sometimes rent episodes of the t.v. series called grey's anatomy...it feeds the dramatic side of my human brain...and i absolutely hate commercials...i do like watching documentaries...wish it was me making them though. i have a fascination with the series MASH, because of my dad ... Love watching hockey,football,and the x-games... thats my deep-dark secret... but i would rather be there in person!

Books:

i am a bookworm and i love fantasy fiction containing myths from the irish regions...well i am a redhead... my friend works at the library so she is always gettin me great books to read.... like the Tao of Willie Nelson....its great!=) just about any topic any time... i have my comfort books too....

Heroes:

~People that stand for what they believe~ ~my parents, my wonderful sisters and my little brother...proof that we can overcome anything!
