I work for the local government where I live, in the Engineering Department mostly dealing with GIS. I enjoy my job a lot plus I work with a great group of diverse and interesting people.  I see life as a special thing these days. When your young, you really do not think about the time spent on ignorance and fools. I'm just a man that has stumbled a lot, fell from time to time, then struggled to pick himself up. Solitude comforts and haunts me. There are times when I would rather sit quietly alone in the woods, listening to the earth breath. Then there are times when I long for companionship. Personal interaction and bonding on a genuine level. My grandfather once told me, "Most of the folks you meet will not like you, so fuck'em (meaning don't let it get ya down), and the majority of the rest will only tolerate you because they want something from you. But the few remaining will be genuine friends that will not just like you but love you for you".  Be who you are, just who you are, and that is all anyone can ask of you. My daughter asked me one day what a non-conformist was. I told her I was one, then I asked if she could explain to me why. She stated because I choose to believe my own thing. That about sums it up. I choose to think for myself. I choose to ask the silly questions, I choose to step out into areas others won't and I enjoy things others say are taboo. You can not truely experience life following the crowd, thinking like the crowd or praying with the crowd. Some say life is better by conforming that way, I say they are scared to be themselves.  I've been called the Jack of all trades, but I'm truly a master of none. I poke at this, prod at that, but I stick to very little. I enjoy exploring and learning new things. This to me is an important element to life and to keeping things fresh. I am a Pantheist, which comes after years of religious study, I am constantly searching for my own truth. I have founded a local Panthiest Society in the Ponca City region. I truely believe that there is enough historical and scientific evidence of alien involvement on this planet.  I have come to understand that I do not know as much as I thought I did about life or people. If you truly listen to people, open your heart and open yourself to the universe around you, you'll realize that you never will know everything. Life is always changing and adjusting. You either bend with it enjoying the ride or you fight back getting your neck broke, it is really that simple.
